Biography
Arbitrator and mediator specialized in cross-border commercial disputes, including matters involving aviation, insurance/re-insurance, sports/entertainment, financial industry, art, and life science. Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators, and Fellow of the International Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, he has completed over 900 cases with aggregate value of billions of Euros. Gary is associated with JAMS and affiliated with, and/or has worked on cases administered by some fifteen other institutions worldwide, including the ICC, ICDR, and CAM-CCBC. Chair of the Board of Advisors of the Hague Court of Arbitration for Aviation, past Co-Chair of the IBA Mediation Committee, his work as an arbitrator and/or mediator has been recognized repeatedly by multiple publications, including Best Lawyers in America and Leaders League (Brazil). He holds degrees from INSEAD, University of Pennsylvania, and Boston University School of Law and has been admitted to four bars in the USA. He works in English, French, and Portuguese.
