Biography

Peter de Verneuil Smith QC is a barrister from 3 Verulam Buildings in London. He was appointed to silk this year and is recognised a leading junior in five practice areas by Chambers and Partners (Banking and Finance, Commercial Dispute Resolution, Civil Fraud, Chancery Commercial and Offshore) and seven by Legal 500 (Banking and Finance, Commercial Litigation, Civil Fraud, International Arbitration, Insurance/Reinsurance, Offshore, and Professional Negligence) and two in Who’s Who Legal (Civil Fraud and Professional Negligence). Peter is expert in group actions and securities litigation (he was junior counsel for the Signature Group in the RBS Rights Issue Litigation) and is leading counsel for the MLB Group in the Tesco litigation
