Biography

Luiz Fernando Valente de Paiva is a partner of the Insolvency and Restructuring area at Pinheiro Neto Advogados since 2003. He holds LLM degree from São Paulo Catholic University (2009) and Northwestern University (2016). He was a member of the Joint Ministerial Committee that drafted the final wording of the Brazilian Bankruptcy Law. He is the current Chairman of TMA Brasil. Board member of IBR - Brazilian Institute of Corporate Restructuring Studies (also former corporate secretary), Insol - International Association (former), Member of the World Bank Task Force on Insolvency, of the Financial Institutions Study Committee of São Paulo Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute and others.
